FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much do bespoke fitted wardrobes cost?
Costs vary depending on the size, materials, and complexity of the design. Our most affordable option is melamine, with real wood veneers and spray-painted finishes sitting higher on the scale due to additional labour and materials. We provide a clear, itemised quote after discussing your space and ideas — no hidden costs. Find out more about materials.
What’s the difference between fitted, modular, and bespoke furniture?
Most national chains offer modular furniture — pre-set sizes that are pieced together to “fit” your space. It may look tidy, but it’s not truly tailored. Fitted furniture refers to modular units made to sit flush to your walls. Bespoke furniture, like ours, is custom-built with no restrictions on size, layout, or finish — every element is designed specifically for you. Read more about this in our blog post.
Are fitted wardrobes worth it?
Yes — especially when they’re bespoke. Custom fitted wardrobes help you make the most of your space, reduce clutter, and can increase the value and appeal of your home. They’re also designed to last far longer than flat-pack or modular alternatives.
How long does it take from quote to installation?
Most projects take 4–6 weeks from initial consultation to installation. This can vary depending on the complexity of your design and the materials chosen. We’ll always give you a clear timeframe before starting.
Can you match colours from Farrow & Ball or Little Greene?
Absolutely. With our spray-painted finish option, we can match any swatch or chart — including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Dulux and more. This means your fitted furniture can blend seamlessly into your existing décor or stand out with a bold colour of your choice.
What’s the best finish for fitted furniture?
That depends on your style and budget.
-
Melamine: affordable, durable, and available in 30+ finishes.
-
Veneer: real wood with character, requires treatment (oil, stain, lacquer).
-
Spray painted: premium, custom colour and finish, ideal for decorative doors like shaker styles.
How deep should a fitted wardrobe be?
A typical depth is around 600mm, which allows enough space for hanging jackets and shirts. We can adjust this based on your room size or needs — for example, using pull-out rails or shallower shelves in tighter spaces.
Can you customise the inside layout too?
Yes — this is where bespoke really shines. From double hanging sections to jewellery drawers, shoe storage, adjustable shelves, linen baskets and more, we design every interior around what you own and how you use your space.
Do you install everything yourselves?
Yes. All of our work is installed by our trusted in-house team, ensuring the same high level of quality from design to completion. No subcontractors — just experienced craftspeople who care about the end result.
Do you offer a guarantee?
We’re proud of the work we do, and all our fitted furniture comes with a 10-year guarantee for complete peace of mind.
