Chris, the owner of Just Wood Furniture, is often the first person customers speak to. He takes time to understand how you live in your home, what challenges the space presents, and what you would like the finished furniture to achieve.

Some customers want clever storage to make a room feel calmer and more organised. Others are looking for a statement piece of furniture that becomes a focal point in the room. By starting with your needs rather than standard cabinet sizes, the design process begins in the right place.

Thoughtful Design That Fits Your Home

Tom Jackson, Designer

Once the ideas are clear, the project moves to Tom, our designer. Tom turns those conversations into carefully thought-out 3D designs. Because everything is truly bespoke, each piece can be designed to fit awkward alcoves, sloping ceilings, chimney breasts or unusual spaces perfectly. Tom will work with you through iterations of the design until you are happy. The aim is to create furniture that feels like it belongs in the room, rather than something that has simply been added to it!

See the Craftsmanship for Yourself

For some customers, seeing materials and finishes in person helps bring the whole project to life.

We have a workshop in Woodbury Salterton where you can view samples, explore different finishes and talk through ideas in more detail. It’s a chance to see the quality of the work up close and get a better feel for how your furniture will look and function.

Respecting Your Home

Having work done in your home can feel disruptive, so we always aim to make the process as smooth as possible.

Our installation team takes real care while working in customers’ homes. Floors and surrounding areas are protected, workspaces are kept tidy, and disruption is kept to a minimum wherever possible.

At the end of each day, the space is left clean and organised so you can continue using your home comfortably.

Many of our customers schedule time away during the installation. They trust us to work in their home whilst they are away and when they arrive back, the work is done!
